Andrew Jackomos
Senior Partner, BDO
Andrew
has over 30 years of experience providing tax
advisory services, including more than 10 years in
Thailand. His specialties include corporate
taxation, international taxation and tax structuring
of cross border and financing transactions. His
industry experience includes financial services,
food, manufacturing, construction,
telecommunications, and pharmaceuticals. Andrew
holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the
University of Melbourne with majors in economics,
accounting and commercial law. He is a Fellow of the
Australian Society of Certified Practicing
Accountants.

Paul Sumner

Paul is
a Director in PWC Thai practice. Paul advises companies
on all aspects of the cross border movement of products.
He has extensive experience of planning and conducting
national, regional and global custom reviews. Paul has
worked on all aspects of customs and trade issues,
including valuation, classification, origin and customs
procedures. Paul specialises in valuation and has
advised a number of multi-national companies on the
implementation of the WTO Valuation Agreement in
Thailand and across Asia. Paul has also advised Thai
Customs on issues such as balancing enforcement with

Cameron McCullough

Orsolya Szotyory-Grove

Orsolya Szotyory-Grove graduated from Princeton
University (2000) and earned a JD from Tulane Law
School (2004), where she served as a Managing Editor
on the Tulane Law Review. She joined Russin &
Vecchi’s Ho Chi Minh City office in 2007. Prior to
joining the firm, she clerked for the Hon. Ulysses
G. Thibodeaux, Chief Judge of Louisiana’s Third
Circuit Court of Appeal, and for the Hon. Kent
Smith, of the Massachusetts Appeals Court. She is

worked as Senior Trade Lawyer for nearly 3 years in
Jakarta at the Indonesian Ministry of Trade, sponsored
by USAID. Also served as Chief of Party for the $13.5
million ITAP project, operated by Chemonics. Earlier
worked in Washington, D.C. for the U.S. Government, in
the Office of General Counsel for the Department of
Commerce, where his primary responsibilities involved
representing the U.S. Government in appeals at the World
Trade Organization, NAFTA, Federal Courts, and other
related international trade matters. Until 1996,
resident partner in charge of the trade, customs and
regulatory practice in Brussels of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene
& MacRae, the Wall Street international law firm.

Edwin Vanderbruggen
Partner
Formerly with Loyens & Loeff, Edwin has nearly 20
year experience as a tax lawyer, academic, author
and government adviser, 15 of which were spent in
South East Asia.. He taught international tax law at
6 different universities in Europe and Asia,
including delivering a number of lectures at the
prestigious International Tax Center in Leyden. He
has published 7 textbooks and over 50 scholarly
articles, some winning scientific awards. He was an
adviser to the Minister of Economy and Finance of
Cambodia (2006-2007) on the conclusion of double
taxation agreements. He has provided training on tax
treaty issues to government officials in a number of
South-East Asian countries, including Thailand,
Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia and has supplied expert
testimony to tax courts on tax treaty
interpretation. Edwin has consulted for the
World Bank and the ADB on tax policy and
administration, including with respect to double
taxation agreements. As a partner at regional law
firm DFDL he advised multinational enterprises,
funds and governmental organizations on
international taxation in South-East Asia, and has
won recognition for his outstanding practice
including "best tax law firm of the year" and "best
corporate tax law firm". He has assisted with
structuring some of the largest acquisitions,
investments and property deals in the region
including the $4.2B petrochemical plant of SCG
Chemical in Vietnam, the $425M Mobitel acquisition
in Singapore and Cambodia, and the $275M listed
property fund JSM Indochina.

Nguyen Thanh Vinh

practiced tax and consultancy work for two
international accounting firms for eight years and
worked as a compliance counsel for an international
insurance company before joining the Ho Chi Minh
City office of Baker & McKenzie. He focuses on tax

Tomas
McClelland

Tom
McClelland has over 17 years’ international tax
experience including a total of six years in
Vietnam, over a period beginning in 1998. In this
time he has provided his multinational and local
clients with the full range of tax consulting and
compliance services. Tom specializes in the taxation
of investment funds and real estate both in Vietnam
and internationally. In Vietnam he has advised a
large number of offshore and local funds on
structuring their real estate investments and
currently provides the full range of tax services to
a number of foreign invested real estate projects.
Tom holds a Masters in Finance from London
University and an honors degree in law from Victoria

Tada Sastarasatit

University and a Barrister at Law from both the Thai
Bar Association and Gray's Inn, England. Familiar

Norris is the International Tax Director at Mazars
and has over 25 years of tax experience. Originally
having worked in the Australian Taxation Office for
7 years, Damian was seconded to the Fiji Government
where he worked as the country's top policy advisor
with the Inland Revenue Department. Damian has since
worked for charted accounting firms (including KPMG)
in both Fiji and Australia before teaming up with
Mazars Thailand in 2006. Damian has considerable
